Construction has commenced and for this alternative construction and energy efficient Build, the Client and Design2Solution have collaborated with experienced Structural Insulated Panel (SIPs) Builder, Bellissimo Homes.
Through a combination of design, (to ensure most appropriate Site orientation for Winter Solar Gain and Summer Shading) and, the energy efficiency of Bellissimo Homes EcoSIPs with Canon uPVC double glazing and roof insulation to suit, this Two Storey Home has achieved a 7.4 Star Rating. In terms of performance, this allows the home to start from a better baseline as the EcoSIPs construction method provides increased building sealing. When mechanical heating and cooling are introduced, running costs will be less accordingly due to lower demand. Future install of solar panels on the North-facing Skillion Roof will further reduce outgoings.
